17 Jan A Spirited Start
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.” Isaiah 43:18 (NKJV)
The way you begin a thing determines how it ends. When a plane takes off, it requires a huge amount of energy before it gets into the air; the pilots make sure to create a balance as it reaches its cruising altitude. And when balanced out, it basically flies itself. In the same way, it’s important for you to focus all your energy on starting this year right.
Have you come into the new year a little tired? Maybe because of your job, your relationship or marriage or life in general? Or did you come in without any expectations because you cannot see how anything will change in your situation? Don’t let tiredness blur your vision from seeing newness in a situation; God wants to renew you from the inside out. If you are feeling weary, take time to rest, renew your focus through prayer and seek balance. Then watch God birth something new into what you believed was lost.
Confession: This year, I have the vision to see newness in every part of my life.
